Intimacy

Stories of friends, loves, companions, models, and strangers.

There is tranquility that emanates from the positions of the male nude bodies.

Viewing this exhibition instills in us a desire to know the story behind each work.

Julius Lewandowski’s exhibition “Intimacy” showcases a selection of works that portray intimate moments, showcasing not just homoeroticism, but also a deep tenderness and admiration for the beauty of the portrayed lovers. The occasional insinuations of stories add a personal touch that refers to the artist’s biography.

Even in the most explicit paintings featuring penetrations or orgies, there is tranquility that emanates from the positions of the male nude bodies and the expressions on their faces. In this sense, Lewandowski manages to infuse tenderness even in his tributes to the Marquis de Sade, which adopt a calm rhythm and show concern for the feelings of the lover.

Although the author himself labels his artwork as erotic, it can also be seen as deeply emotional.
