The Queer Bible is a project by The Queer Museum that will illustrate the Bible with the work of contemporary queer artists from around the world. The aim is to reclaim the eroticism of religious art within the sphere of sexual dissidence.

Have you ever thought you could appear in the Bible Take part in this open call and send us your photograph, painting, or illustration. We are interested in depictions of eroticism, pornography, and any expression of queer sexuality and affection that can illustrate a queer vision of the scriptures. Remember, by submitting an image or text, it must be your own work, and you are granting us permission to publish it. (Detail below)

Open Call: The Queer Bible

This Open Call aims to select material for an international collective exhibition at The Queer Museum, to be published on its platform www.TheQueerMuseum.Art, and potentially through print publications, social media, and other distribution channels.

By submitting your material, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the images or texts and that you have obtained all necessary permissions to publish the work, including consent from any individuals, models, or locations featured in the submission. You further guarantee that your work does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.

By submitting your work, you grant The Queer Museum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, distribute, and modify the material across analog and digital platforms. The term “modify” includes, but is not limited to, the following: adding text (e.g., in the case of a book cover or a poster), altering colours (e.g., converting an image to black and white for print), and cropping the work (e.g., for social media posts). These examples are illustrative and do not exclude other potential modifications required for publication or presentation purposes.

It is important to note that by sharing your work for The Queer Bible project, you retain full ownership and creative rights over your submission. You are simply granting The Queer Museum shared copyright, which allows us to legally publish, distribute, and adapt your work.
